Vertigo magazine is a new free magazine aimed at 16-30 year olds including students and time rich young professionals with disposable incomes.
The publication has been produced following discussions with North Herts Colleges and Oaklands College, as both facilities were looking for a suitable platform from which to convey their messages within a publication that they knew their students would like and engage with. This tied in extremely well with our own aspirations of reaching a younger targeted audience in Hertfordshire. In order to fully understand the needs of the students, face-to-face and online questionnaires were undertaken to enable to identify the content ensuring the right product to this younger audience.
The editorial focus concentrates on local events plus fashion trends, band profiles, film previews, DVD reviews, video games, comics reviews and more. The publication is full of free giveaways and offers to attract readers, with an iPad competition in the first issue.
Vertigo' is an A5 publication and the first issue consisted of 40 pages with a view of growing pagination for the forthcoming issues.
There will be two editions of the magazine which will geographically split between North and South Hertfordshire, and the total print run is 30,000 copies.
The magazine will be available at carefully selected locations and venues across the county, and is supported by a new website - www.vertigoonline.co.uk
