Community Life

The Hunts Post, through its parent company Archant, is a sponsor of the Community Life Awards, which are organised by ACRE. The awards celebrate the best of Cambridgeshire, including village of the year, volunteers, and community pub.

Almost Famous

For the first time in 2007, The Hunts Post organised a song-writing competition for local bands. The writers of our rock column - Almost Famous - received more than 50 entries and invited some of the bands - and readers - to a free gig where the winner was announced. A free CD of the event was a hit, and bands are already preparing for the next competition.

Business Awards

The Hunts Post Huntingdonshire Business Awards have been running since 1998, providing a platform for the district's businesses to shout about their achievements.

The awards have been expanded over the years, but are still as popular as ever.
