How long have you been with the Archant?
I have been with Archant since November 28th 2005
What attracted you to join?
I was attracted to work here as I studied Graphic Design at College and University. I saw the job as a good opportunity to gain some experience in the working environment, to further my knowledge of software programmes and to learn new things about design and print.
What is like to work here?
This is a good company to work for and I like the friendly atmosphere amongst fellow colleagues and the managers/team leaders.
How would you describe a typical day?
My typical day varies depending what day/area I am in. When I am working on property, my typical day would consist of working for numerous papers, setting up adverts for the estate agents. I spend most of the time liaising with them and helping with any problems, queries, amendments or special requests they may have. When I am not on property I am usually setting up the newspapers which involve creating the pages, chasing any missing adverts or editorial and correcting any adverts which may cause the pages to error while processing
What is the best part about your job?
I particularly like the fact that I work in different areas which makes my day more interesting and I can learn about more than one area.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
I would say my most challenging part of my job are the deadlines, making sure that all adverts or pages are completed in time to be sent to the press.
